    AAP Guidance for Breastfeeding During COVID

    The AAP guidance on breastfeeding during the COVID-19 pandemic has been released.  The guidance states that  SARS-CoV-2 has not been found in breast milk and that breastfeeding can help protect infants from infection.

    AAP PCO Webinar: Immunizations and Infectious Diseases Update

    May 2020 – Lilly Immergluck, MD, MS, FAAP, will update pediatric healthcare practitioners on the latest information on immunizations and pediatric infectious diseases, including COVID-19 and influenza. 

    Dr. Immergluck is an executive board member of the AAP Section on Infectious Diseases and a faculty member for the AAP ECHO COVID-19 Emergency Readiness & Response Task Force. She is an associate professor of microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, and pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine and an adjunct associate professor at Emory in Atlanta, Georgia.
